Revision Of Eligibility Criteria Under Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

West Bengal Government has started Scholarship Scheme for the students. Through that scheme financial assistance is provided to the meritorious students of economically backward families in the state. All those students who have scored more than 60% marks in the state board exam can take advantage of this scheme. Earlier the eligibility criteria of S.V.Scholarship Scheme was 75%. Now West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has amended that eligibility criteria.

Now students who have secured 60% marks are also eligible to apply under this scheme. On that occasion, the Chief Minister has also honored at least 1700 students of secondary and higher secondary and madrassa examinations. Laptops were presented to the students. Apart from this, books written by famous writers of Bengal are also provided to the students. The upper limit of family income under the scheme has been fixed at Rs 250000 per year.
